About Idle Dial
These terms cover the Idle Dial apps and idledial.com, operated by RUNX LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13410777).
Idle Dial is an internet radio player for finding stations, saving favourites and playing streams, including stream links you add yourself. It requires an internet connection. Your internet or mobile provider may charge for data usage.
The apps do not require an Idle Dial account and have no subscriptions, in-app purchases or app-added advertising. Independent stations may broadcast their own adverts.
Independent radio stations and services
Station search uses the community-maintained Radio Browser directory. Audio is streamed from third-party providers; RUNX LTD does not produce or host the broadcasts and is not affiliated with a station simply because it appears in search results.
Broadcasters and other rights holders retain the rights to their programmes, music, names and artwork. Buying Idle Dial does not transfer those rights or include a subscription to a broadcaster’s paid service.
Streams, directory entries, artwork and programme information can change, become unavailable, or be restricted by location. We cannot promise that every listed station will play or that its information will always be correct.
Please use the app lawfully, respect applicable station and service terms, and do not use it to bypass access restrictions. If you believe a listing or linked stream infringes your rights, contact us with the station details and your concern so we can investigate.
Purchases, licensing and refunds
The iPhone and Mac apps are currently sold separately as one-time App Store purchases. The price, device requirements and regional availability shown by the App Store at purchase apply. There are no recurring Idle Dial fees.
Apple processes purchases. Use of the apps is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement. These website terms do not replace that licence.
For an App Store refund request, visit Apple’s Report a Problem service. You can also contact us about faults or purchase concerns. Nothing here limits any refund, repair or other remedy you are entitled to by law.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains local app storage, connections to station directories and stream providers, website hosting, and information you send to support. The apps do not include behavioural tracking. External providers have their own privacy practices.
Your rights
We aim to provide a reliable app and welcome reports of problems. Playback also depends on your connection, device and third-party services. These terms do not exclude or restrict your statutory consumer rights or any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
